To some this may not seem like much of an accomplishment, but for me it’s the realization of a dream. I’m so honored my story was chosen out of thousands of submissions. It is encouragement to keep going, keep writing, keep pushing forward with the goal to help grieving people feel less alone. I don’t know what will come of this for me personally, maybe nothing. But for now, I’m going to celebrate achieving a big goal.
If you’re working on moving forward after loss, you know how even small accomplishments feel big. At first maybe it’s I showered today or I remembered to eat. Then maybe it’s I cooked a meal and went back to work. And then one day you find the goals are bigger and a little less difficult. Wherever you are on your path forward with and after loss, I’m cheering you on and so grateful to have you in this tribe cheering ME on. Thank you!
