Thankful Thursday

March 30, 2017

How is it Thursday already?! You know what that means – it’s time to acknowledge the good and name the frustrations. I’ve noticed the Thankful Thursday posts aren’t as popular, and since I want to give you what you want and need, I hope you’ll take a couple seconds to take the quiz at the end of this post. Do you enjoy Thankful Thursdays? Does it help? Or could you do without it? It’s a short yes/no/don’t care quiz at the bottom. I hope you’ll let me know what you’d like to see.  Thanks! Alright, let’s get on with it.

Extra Grace Required’s

  • When you drag yourself to your exercise class and hear the instructor admit the class used to be called “Bootcamp” but since no one showed up, they changed the name. Trickery! And no wonder I could barely lift myself off the toilet this week. “Leg day” was brutal. BRUTAL!
  • Ok, you depressing, gray clouds and rain for a solid week – STOP IT! I seriously require sunshine! Knock. It. Off.
  • When I gather your laundry, turn it all right side out, (including your smelly socks), then wash and dry said laundry, and then fold it neatly and ask you to put it away? That does NOT mean shove it under your bed, in your closet or heaven-forbid put it back in the hamper still folded!  AAAAAAAGH!!!!!! I promise you, I WILL WIN THIS BATTLE!!!

Thankfuls

  • So many wonderful, loving, selfless, thoughtful, encouraging, generous, kind and compassionate friends!
  • Taxes are DONE! Praise Be to God! Hallelujah!!!
  • March is almost over. I can’t even tell you just how happy I am about this.
  • Six pounds gone.

Your turn – what took all your patience and poise this week and what deserves a great big thanks?

Here’s the short quiz – let me know what you think!

Jodi

Congrats on the missing 6 pounds! Woo Hoo!!! As for the laundry battle, I gave up that fight. My kids have been doing their own laundry for 2 years. You can move that to my thankful list! 🙂

Thanks! I think I should’ve also asked how you all feel about actually participating in TT – because I’m thinking you all don’t like to do that much. Maybe a new poll next week! It’s fun to click a button and hit submit, no?

    Extra grace:
    – to smile after days of grey skies
-Get off couch and onto tredmill
-reaching out to those I need spiritual guidance from.
    Thankfuls
-March almost over for my friend
    -a kind and thoughtful boss
-new friends who are there for me.

EGR – Seriously, this weather. What is this??? I could never handle Seattle.
Thankful – That Lizzie’s three-day fever finally fizzled. I could never, ever homeschool. Ever.

I missed yesterday! I went to an appointment with a friend! So thankful I could go with her and visit and enjoy the drive to and from. Thankful for all the awesome books I have been reading lately! Thankful for sunny days and great sunsets. So thankful the mud is drying up!
Missing our farm dog that passed on Wednesday this week, she was old and tired and couldn’t see anymore. Thankful she isn’t suffering. She handled things like a trooper right to the end! Never whined or cried she handled her blindness pretty well. She followed the tractor through hearing. Day before she got to visit the calves.
Thankful for great friends, thankful for you Jodi! Keep up your great blog you are doing a fantastic job!
    Love from ND!

I’m thankful for New friends in my GriefShare group. Hearing them share their stories gives me support.
