If You Knew

If You Knew

If you knew the heartache, would you comfort?

If you knew the exhaustion, would you offer relief?

If you knew the sorrow, would you give an embrace?

If you knew the loneliness, would you lend your presence?

If you knew the comfort of hearing their name, would you speak it?

If you knew the fears and doubts, wouldyou encourage?

If you knew the tears still fall, would you wipe them away?

If you knew the pain of isolation, would you include?

If you knew the weight of the decisions, would you listen?

If you knew the deafening silence, would you raise your voice?

If you knew how dark it gets, would you be a light?

If you knew all the reasons behind the faults, would you give extra grace?

If you knew a friend was needed, would you be one?

If you don’t know, would you ask?

Wow. If I know, I do. But I probably didn’t before I was the one in the darkness.

True, Myrna. When you know better, you do better, right?

Most certainly, so many times we don’t know what someone is going through. Once we go through some of these things we can be more compassionate to others in the same boat! I wish people could share more with others it would be so very helpful. I think of you so often Jodi, I only wish and pray for the best for you! Wish we did not live so far apart! I know Christmas will be another hard holiday, I wish I could take some of the sorrow and lonliness away! Know that I think of you so often. Would love to hear from you! Love and Hugs, Karen and Lynn

Jodi, This so beautiful, thought provoking, and makes me feel like it could have been something Jesus would ask of us. You have such a wonderful, caring, compassionate heart. I feel so blessed to call you my friend, and I hope I can be as good a friend to you in return ❤ Love you!!

Beautifully written! So many don’t know unless they’ve gone through it. They are the ones that seems to be more likely to “ask”.
